Our purpose is to deliver understanding of the factors and forces driving global change, and how to respond to them, so as to facilitate the critical thinking of decision makers in both the private and public sectors.

Earendel is a young company delivering a mature capability.

  • We harness the experience of our Associates and of a wide-ranging team of subject experts, drawing on expertise and knowledge built over the past fifty years. Their output has been influential with public and private sector readers at the most senior levels, notably as awareness has grown of the sustained challenge to democracies and to the rules-based international order, requiring strategy and effective leadership in response.

  • The connecting thread through the team’s history has been its members’ appreciation of the challenges to governance posed by the high speed of change, not least in the information space; and of its exploitation by competing powers to challenge democratic societies, economies and values. Earendel’s established understanding of the multiple ways in which these powers pursue their agendas is unique, and essential to organisations' ability to craft strategies appropriate to this new era.

This systemic conflict has until recently been missed or resisted by the wider analytical community. Earendel’s understanding of it enables a clearer appreciation of past and current global events, and in turn a greatly improved chance of anticipating or responding quickly to future events. It will remain relevant for the medium and long term, however immediate events unfold.

  • Earendel provides understanding and advice to clients by written analysis, detailed bespoke reports and face-to-face consultancy relationships. As the gap between geo-strategic and local political risks shrinks, Earendel’s insights will be increasingly necessary to decisions on investment and market risks, across all sectors and markets.

Where appropriate, Earendel Associates work with practitioners and academic partners to develop bottom-up reforms, designed to address weaknesses in democratic or corporate governance systems which undermine their resilience. Earendel implements such programmes to generate learning and to enable the continuous improvement of such reforms.

  • Earendel was initially formed as an LLP in 2020, and was incorporated as a limited company in 2022. Earendel is politically and financially independent, relying entirely on commercial income streams.

Privileged client relationships exist to date with international banks, the investment community and the legal sector.

In parallel, Earendel continues to supply assessment to official and political readerships internationally. The reporting is now widely recognised for its prescience.

Earendel’s associates have decades of expertise and understanding in competitors’ political systems, including their motivations and their decision-taking processes; and in the tools they use to challenge others’ wellbeing and economic interests, and to win advantage over business.
